Tim Botkins - The Story

The legend of Tim Botkins is one told with great enthusiasm, for Tim is a living legacy of his forefathers, most notably Joesavia Botkins, a polish immigrant who fled Poland during WWI in search of the American Dream. Joesavia's pursuit led him far and wide, through troubles and triumph in a land so unfamiliar, yet poised for opportunity.

Tim Botkins, Joesavia's grandson, is a real person who lives today as a true hero of the times. He is 46 years old, born September 10th, 1959. Tim resides in Cincinnati, Ohio where he represents State Farm Insurance Inc. as a licensed insurance broker. Tim was born in the northern Ohio town called Botkins, also familiar to truckers and hunting enthusiasts as a final stop on the way to the great north woods.

To commemorate the life and historical lineage ofTim Botkins, the Botkins historical society, has devoted an entire weekend of fun and tomfoolery in his honor. The society, co-founded by David Leland and Jon Laing, includes friends and family from far and wide. The 1st annual Tim Botkins Memorial took place on a September weekend in 2002 on the west shores of Burt Lake.

This weekend has evolved into an unbridled tradition rooted in the great american experience. So tip your hat, crack a beer, and prepare for the best weekend experience of your life! After one weekend with Tim Botkins, you'll be hooked!
